Hi! My name is Kelsey Voth and I am a Registered Social Worker. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, and I have extensive experience working with children and youth, as well as folks with disabilities, chronic pain, experiences of trauma, and various mental health concerns. I provide individual counselling to teens and adults with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and goals for therapy. My approach to counselling is trauma-informed and relationally-centred, and I draw on modalities that foster compassion, empathy, embodiment and connection. 

I believe that as humans, growth is our birthright. It guides our everyday choices and interactions and ultimately leads us to live in ways that feel peaceful, free, and aligned with our values. But it's really hard to grow when we're overwhelmed or in "survival mode." If you're tired of just going through the motions - feeling empty, numb, disconnected, or out of control - I would be honoured to partner with you on your journey back to yourself, whether that includes working through things that happened in the past or exploring the path forward. 

My style is open, relaxed, relational, and trauma-informed. My goal is to hold space for your unique story and vision for your life, working with you to explore it with curiosity and compassion.  Together we can explore what keeps you from hearing your own inner wisdom, from feeling connected and grounded, and from experiencing peace, freedom, and purpose.

 Because whole-person wellness is impacted by a variety of physical, psychological, social, structural, and spiritual factors, I take a holistic approach to mental health that recognizes the uniqueness of each client and their journey. I draw on a wide variety of evidence-based approaches in my work, including attachment, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative therapy. We can decide together what kind of approach feels best for you, based on your values, priorities, and strengths.
